Q – What is Hockey Ministries International?
A – The best way to summarize HMI is to say we are a Christian ministry to hockey players.

Q – What exactly do you do?
A – There are many facets to HMI. The organization began in 1977 offering Christian hockey camps for young people. Currently there are over 30 camps in 6 countries around the world. Another major component of HMI is our chapel program that we offer to teams. Currently we are active in 25 leagues across North America with over 200 teams, from the NHL to junior hockey. Bible distribution, Special events like breakfasts and faith nights at local hockey games are just some of our other activities.

Q – How is the organization funded?
A – HMI is a non-profit charitable organization registered in both Canada and the U.S.A. who rely on donations from people who believe in the work that we are doing. Each Field-Staff office is responsible to raise funds to support their regional office activities and income for field-staff workers. Many of the field-staff also rely on fund-raising activities like golf and auction events to provide the necessary funding.

Q – How can I help?
A – There are many ways a person can help in the work of HMI. Donating funds in support of the ministry, volunteering in serving with hundreds of others who give of their time at Christian Hockey Camp as staff, behind the scenes to help organize events or commit to pray on a regular basis for the work of HMI.
